one of the days last week i wasn't feeling well. i had been in bed most of the day and hadn't really eaten anything. on his way home from work, matt called and asked if i needed anything. i was kinda craving some chicken nuggets. so i asked if he would stop by mcdonalds and pick some up for me. of course, he agreed to. {he has been seriously amazing about serving me during this pregnancy!}
about 5 mins after i gave him my order, i had an overwhelming feeling of worry. i began to think about the fact that mcdonalds has chicken nuggets and chicken selects. matt generally prefers the selects, while i prefer the nuggets. in my mind, i was running through the scenario of matt getting to mcdonalds and deciding that the all white-meat selects would be a better option for his pregnant wife. thinking about eating chicken selects instead of chicken nuggets made me really sad!
i was almost in tears thinking about what i would do if matt decided to get the selects instead. i decided to spare him the wrath of my emotions and called him to tell him that i was worried he would get me chicken selects. he just laughed and said that he isn't "that stupid. husbands are supposed to get exactly what their pregnant wife tells them!" he was home shortly after with my nuggets and bbq sauce.
needless to say i was relieved. and slightly embarrassed that something so trivial would make me emotional. i'm sure i'll never live this down...much like crying about the kool-aide commercial during the first pregnancy is still a joke.
oh, the joy of pregnancy :)
