16.5 weeks.

i look:
definitely starting to see and feel a belly.
still wearing most of my "normal" clothes...but by the end of the day, my pants are too tight to keep buttoned. much more comfy to wear maternity bottoms instead!

i'm just getting back to pre-pregnancy weight. i'm really surprised it's taken me so long to gain 5 lbs back. my doc is guessing i'll start packing on the pounds in the next two weeks. great.

i feel:
mostly good. i've had a few days with some nausea...but for the most part it is GONE! thank the Lord! i'm starting to get a little more heartburn after i eat greasy or spicy foods, but it's totally manageable in comparison to all day, everyday vomiting.

my back has been hurting. anytime i sit for longer than a few minutes i stand up to a sharp, stabbing pain on the left side of my back. it flares up with each step on my left foot. matt thinks i should have it checked out, but i'm not even sure who to see about it!? if it continues this next week, i'll go in.

i crave:
my cravings still change weekly. right now i'm on a cream cheese kick ~ bagels and cream cheese, sandwiches with cream cheese, waffles and cream cheese, wheat thins and cream cheese {any other good cream cheese pairings i should try?!} still can't eat chicken...it's lame. in my head, a delicious chic-fil-a sandwich sounds good...but the thought of actually eating it makes me sick. weird.

i think:
i should go to bed. it's way to late/early to be up.

i also think i'm starting to feel baby j move. sometimes i'm certain i feel it...other times i wonder if it isn't just my stomach growling and gurgling.

and i think i should start to exercise a little...my arms are getting a little loose looking. yikes.

i hope:
baby j is cooperative for our 19 week ultrasound. we're planning a party...and if we can't tell what the baby is, it'll be hard to share the news!

docs say:
things are looking great. had a check-up earlier this week and my doc says we're right on track. baby j was not very cooperative when we tried to catch him/her with the doppler. the cna found baby j for a few seconds...then all we could hear was movement! it was kinda exciting...but also a little nerve-wracking cause i'll be able to feel alot more of that movement soon. oh joy. the heart rate this week was 150ish.

we're praising God for continuing to sustain this little life. this is such an exciting time for matt and i. we are so looking forward to the next 5ish months of pregnancy. and we are joyfully anticipating the birth of our little blessing!
